Leigh Anne Tuohy Bio

Leigh Anne Tuohy is the inspiration behind the hit movie "The Blind Side", and her story has inspired people all over America and the world. The life of the Tuohy family was depicted in a book of the same name; in the movie, Tuohy was played by Sandra Bullock, who won an Oscar for her great performance. Mrs. Tuohy was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and she went on to attend Briancrest Christian School. She graduated from Ole Miss, the University of Mississippi, with a BS in interior design.

Tuohy owns an interior design firm, Fair I, with her mother Virginia Roberts. Leigh Anne's work has been shown on HGTV, many magazines, and she has designed rooms for clients like Scottie Pippin, Peyton Manning, OJ Mayo, and Isaac Bruce. She married a college basketball player, Sean Tuohy, who went on to become a broadcaster for the NBA and an entrepreneur in his own right. Currently, they live in Memphis, with their three children: daughter Collins and sons Sean Jr. and Michael Oher.
