Ed Sanders Bio
Ed Sanders was born May 10, 1975, and he is both a carpenter and a TV personality; he picked up the former skill as a way to keep gainful employment between acting gigs. He won the role of Eddie Moliano in the series "Dream Team" on Sky One in 1999, was a reporter for a morning show, and also became the host of the UK's version of the semireality show "Fear Factor".
Sanders moved to the United States in 2004 with his wife and child, shortly thereafter being hired to appear on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. During 2007, he hosted an ABC show called "National Bingo Night" for six episodes. He appeared in a rock music video at the tender age of 11, and decided that acting was his goal, but he took carpentry classes at a technical school to have a back-up plan in place. He is a very popular television emcee, hosting numerous series both in the US and the UK.
Sanders became popular on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition because of his sex appeal, his accent, and his behavior. During his time on the show, he had some issues: first, he got a staph infection after he did not seek treatment for a blister on his foot, then he cut his hand open after he took the safety guard off of a saw. He used both incidents as a "teachable moment", encouraging his audience not to follow his example.
In 2007, Sanders and wife Gioia Gagliano added triplets (girls) to their family, which already included one son. Currently, his work on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition remains his professional focus.
